lLand Rover Series 2a IIa 1971 109 SOLD

This rather nice original Land Rover Series 2a 109" Truck General Service, 3/ 4 Ton 4x4, Rover II was released from service in 1981 and sold off through L Jackson & Co in Bawtry Near Doncaster and they are still in existence today!
Up to date V5 present and ready to go in new owners name.
Tax and MOT exempt
Army reg was 16 FJ 89 and was kept in service for 10 years as is the norm.
I have no Army history but this would be easy to obtain.
Sold to its first owner who fitted an overdrive (invoice in file) but only kept it for 16 months.
It then sold to its second owner who had it from 1982 until now an amazing 38 years.
Chassis number 25118931G which makes it a 109" RHD Home Market 2. 25 petrol.
MOTs from 1981 at 21, 747 miles and the last one in 1994 at 45, 015 when it was last used!
12v electrical system so all standard Land Rover.
Sadly it was then parked up and never driven again hence it needs a full restoration!
The great appeal about this Land Rover is that it is so original and unmolested.
The correct 2. 25 petrol Army engine turns freely but I have not attempted to start it.
The bulkhead needs plenty of welding including footwells, door pillars etc.
The chassis doesn't seem too bad but will definately need a rear crossmember and some work to the front dumb irons.
The bodywork is very straight with the usual several coats of army paint.
Original army lights all present.
All the switchgear incl the Army lighting switch looks correct.
Rifle clips all present and correct fire extinguisher with bracket.

This will make a superb project and be a real eye catcher when done.
