A magnificent Rolls Royce Phantom 1 tourer which is both large & grand. The car was rebodied & fully restored to the last degree some years ago & since then has resided in a private collection seeing occasional use for High days, holidays & Daughters weddings etc. The onset of old age by the onwer & recent lack of use dictates the need to sell the car after 2 decades of ownership.
The car is in simply perfect order. The pale Green over balck paintwork is in utterly gorgeous condition looking as it were painted yeterday. To the interior is green Connely hide throughout with matching green wilton carpets. The rear has a pair of occasional seats folding out from the bulkhead affording seating for up to 7 people. The dash board contains the original complement of requisite Rolls Royce supplied instrumentation.
Under the bonnet the car is in superb order with an engine bay detailed to show standards. The fully rebuilt engine starts readily & pulls stongly & smoothly as one might expect. The gear box is smooth & easily mastered. A full service has just been completed upon the car putting it in tip top running condition. Recent bills come with the car from Marque specialists A & S Engineering, mostly for simple service work as the car has needed nothing.
The car runs beautifully & has done several continental trips completing them uneventfully with aplomb. The car was also driven past her Majesty the Queen during the Jubilee Celebrations. To the rear is an oversized motoring trunk affording capacious stoage. A set of side screens comes with the car for inclement motoring, but have not been used in the previous ownership as the car has been used on fine days only. The full length black mohair hood is in fine condition & is easily erected. A useful brooks tool storage box is located on the passenger side running board.
The tyres are of recent origin & the wheels have polished aluminium wheel discs. A spare is mounted to the drivers side running board also with a disc cover fitted. Indicated miealge is 70, 499 at time of collection on the odometer with little wear to the foot pedals indicating a low mileage chassis. The engine runs cool & exhibits excellent oil pressure between 20 & 30 PSI.
To sum up this Rolls Royce Phantom 1 is in way avove average condition both mechanically & cosmetically. Its V screen gives it a very period look & it garners attention wherever it appears. In stock now it is ready for immediate viewings.
