1997 VOLVO 940 2. 3 CLASSIC TURBO AUTO ESTATE
1980’S AND 90’S Volvo’s are rapidly reaching cult status within the Modern Classic Scene and none more so than the 940. An extremely dependable versatile vehicle, most of these tend to have long term ownership and this one is no exception. A 2 previous owner vehicle from new, the Original Owner was Tyne Tees Television, I remember regularly seeing these on the local news as a youngster!! The last owner has owned the vehicle for fourteen years and it comes complete with all its original books and manuals as well as both keys and an original Volvo Service book containing sixteen stamps along with all its previous mot’s and further bills to substantiate the mileage. It was last service 2000 miles ago which was a large service including spark plugs, all the filters, new tyres and a new battery, it has also had a replacement exhaust in the last 12 months. The mileage is 149000 which is nothing for one of these dependable workhorses.
The bodywork has a number of smaller imperfections in the paint which has more than been allowed from in the very competitive sales price. There is a small crease below the trim on the drivers door, corrosion on the backs of the lower sills and the odd parking dink/ chip. Interior wise it is beautiful, there is no damage to the dashboard or seats and is all original with no ghastly after market modifications, boot carpets are also extremely good and the factory fitted luggage cover is still intact and works as it should.
These old 940’s all drive very well indeed and this one is no exception! There are no warning lights displayed and the car pulls very nice through all gears.
