1971 Honda CB175 K5
This stunning, low mileage CB175 is a UK bike, having been registered on the 7th May 1971 and is a matching numbers example.
Having been off of the road for many years she was extensively re-commissioned in 2007/ 8 and totally gone through, with receipts totalling over £2, 500!
In October 2008 she was MOT’d for the first time in many years with just 10, 961 miles on her and in the last 12 years has done very limited mileage, covering just 909 miles since her restoration/ recommissioning, with MOT’s and VOSA paperwork confirming the following mileage:
October 2008: 10, 961 miles
September 2009: 11, 352 miles
November 2010: 11, 598 miles
Sorned: 2011
November 2012: 11, 616 miles
Sorned 2013:
January: 2014: 11, 776
Sorned: 2015 - 2020
Her elderly owner put her into storage having ridden her the 4 miles back from the MOT centre in 2014 and she is now showing just 11, 870 miles. I purchased her very locally to me from the gentleman’s small private collection, after deciding to downsize, due to increasing age.
Registered as Historic, so MOT and Tax exempt and is in really wonderful condition all-round; with a lovely patina and she is running and riding without fault.
She comes with two keys, V5 in my name, a huge folder full of receipts, old MOT’s etc and a Pitmans manual along with a useful Haynes manual. She has just been re-commisioned and has had the carbs professionally cleaned and then set-up and balanced and has also just had a new seat cover fitted and a new battery.
These revvy little CB’s are great fun to ride and keep up well with modern traffic on A and B roads -she is perfect for a Sunday ride out or club run. Her larger CB siblings have seen strong upwards movement in value in recent years and early 1970’s Japanese motorcycles are only going one way in value.
