Ford Cortina MK2 1600GT, Genuine original GT with correct BA97 Chassis number,, 67000 Miles and 2 owners. This car was recently imported from the hot dry climate of Cyprus. The NOVA declaration has been done and the car will be fully UK registered. This car has never been welded and is in superb condition.
Body - Four door MK2 Cortina GT (BA97) shell. Never been welded from what we can see and superb from front to back. All original panels, gaps are good, Underneath has a light covering of underseal but you can still see the definition of every panel and every contour. Apart from a couple of small jacking up dents on the outriggers it looks as fresh as the day it left the factory. Paintwork is stunning and is as good on the boot floor, underside of the bonnet as it is outside. This was not its original colour, but the chap that refurbished the car liked it and also added the export spec GT stripes. This car would stand head and shoulders above most at your local car show and might even be worthy of a trophy.
Mechanics - All correct GT spec and everything works as it should. Car drives lovely with no nasty noises, rattles or bangs. We will happily put a years MOT on this car for the new owner. Everything underneath is either new or has been refurbished. K&N air filter has been added.
Interior - Again all correct GT spec with export spec opening quarter windows. Seats, door cards, dash, carpets, headlining are all superb.
Wheels - The owner preferred the rostyles to the standard steels, which we know are not correct so no need to point this out!. The addition of a set of Lotus steels would finish this off.
