Beschreibung
VeeBee is my uncles much loved Moggy. It needs to go to a good home as my uncle has recently died after a short battle against cancer.
She is a 'crossover' model, between the series 3 and 5.
She is a good runner, happily doing a couple of classic runs, including the Greenwich Park to Brighton.
This car is the “De-luxe” model and was supplied with two tone seats and interior trim and an extra sun visor for the passenger as they only came with the one for the driver when standard.
My uncle did some work to keep her maintained and running well, including adding an oil pressure gauge. He has two new glove box liners (with the deluxe chrome trim) ready to go in, having removed the old ones.
She has been resprayed in the past. But it was not done that well in that there are small crazes overall. Really only noticeable if you get quite close. It was on the 'to do' list.
Here are some details from the advert when my uncle bought VB:
Owned her for just over 3 years, selling (reluctantly) as don't have time or space any more.
'Since we have had the car it has had:
New head
New tyres
New exhaust
New heated front windscreen
New battery
New electric ignition
New brakes
Seat belts put in
Full service history
Comes with original picnic hamper & 1960's working transistor radio
Body work in good order but paintwork crackled
MOT until August
Sought after number plate
Is one of a smaller number of cars with original glove compartments etc.
Runs smoothly.'
VeeBee is stored in a garage, protected from the weather.
