This rather rare Land Rover was I believe coachbuilt from new as a drop side pickup.
It was finished in yellow from new and myth has it that it was used by Post Office telephones/ BT but I have not unearthed any proof so far!
Up to date V5 present and correct and the original chassis plate is in place.
Will be tax and MOT exempt from October this year which is a bonus!
The last owner had it for 16 years and when the original 2. 25 diesel became rather slow and worn out he commissioned Liveridge 4x4 to install a 200tdi with turbo and intercooler to make it more lively!
The invoice for £2702. 50 is present and the V5 Logbook was updated with the new engine number.
It has done approx 10, 000 miles since the 200tdi was fitted in 2006
It was last MOTd and on the road in late 2017, but was used around a smallholding since then to keep it ticking over. It will need some work to gain an MOT.
The passenger footwell will need repair but otherwise the bulkhead is generally sound.
The chassis doesn't look too bad and has had some patched over the years, but will need some welding to the second crossmember.
Front dumb irons all good.
As you would expect the 200tdi starts immediately and sounds good.
The brakes work but I would advise servicing as it has been off the road for a while.
Clutch and gearbox seem good.
Fairey overdrive fitted and freewheeling hubs.
The canopy is removeable and also the sides can be removed easily to make it a flatbed trayback.
I have never seen another one.
This will be such a useful truck with a bit of TLC.
