Here at Motodrome, we love an E24 BMW, and so we’re pleased to offer what we think is a really fine example– a 1989/ F BMW 635 CSi Highline Motorsport Edition, finished in Macau Blue Metallic with contrasting full leather Lotus White sports trim.
Usual late Highline Motosport spec - fitted with switchable automatic transmission, full leather (including dash top, door tops, and headlining) , BMW sports seats, aircon, abs. electric seats/ sunroof/ windows/ mirrors, central locking, trip computer, HLWW, front fogs, alloys, rear spoiler, rear headrests, and rear blind.
Motorsport spec includes Shadowline exterior trim, limited slip differential, M sport steering wheel, and graduated top tint windscreen. It’s also fitted with a more modern JVC stereo with USB port
BMW GB’s internal systems confirm it was built as ‘package 129 – Motorsport Edition’.
Rarely, it’s also fitted with Michelin 240/ 45ZR 415 tyres on the correct alloys, and in my opinion they ride and handle so much better on these.
It's only had two owners since 1995, both of whom are well-known to me, and are long-standing clients and enthusiasts.
Knowing it was a lovely example, I’ve been trying to prise this away from the owner for the last 5 years or more, with little success up until now. He’s kept it as part of a garaged collection of high-quality cars since acquiring it in 2008. Upon purchase, he commissioned a body renovation (which seems to have cost around £11000. 00) as she was inevitably looking a little tired, including a windows-out respray.
Whilst these are capable of starship mileages (my last daily driver had covered 215000 miles when I sold it and it was still running like a train), and most have done well into the 150’s now, this one is a rare find as it has an odometer reading of just 96500 miles.
History wise, we have the book pack with the original service book with 15 service stamps in it (the first 13 BMW main dealer) , pretty much every old MOT’s back to 1993, and a massive file of bills including the aforementioned renovation ones, which detail what was done.
It's shortly to come out of our workshops having been fully serviced, and almost all the little irritants mentioned on our walkaround and driving videos have been corrected too. .
It will be supplied with MOT to June 2021 and 6 months warranty too.
It’s one of the nicest-looking and driving E24’s currently available in my opinion.
