Here with what is becoming a very rare car, a 1962 built and registered Vx 4/ 90, not 1963, sorry cannot change that bit, with the early 1508cc alloy head twin carb motor, 4 speed floor change all synchro gearbox, disc brakes, individual seats in great all round condition.
I am told numbers of on the road cars is well below 50, How Many Left. com says 2 road legal and 2 sorn with 14 legal and 8 sorn Victor FB, s.
I have seen more than those figures but i believe this is the only survivor in these original shades.
A very original car indeed, A very usable rare car in great condition with a little patina. Not a freshly restored car so no horrors to come back and bite you.
I have known this car for years, the previous two owners and the current for years too.
I bought it from a good friend close to Dublin who is a true fb enthusiast back in 2016.
He had 5 VX 4/ 90 and an estate Victor and i pestered him for one. He let this one go as it was the only one not first registered or built from CKD in Ireland.
So it was registered in Ireland and had 2 enthusiast owners there, but was never de registered in the Uk.
There is no EXPORT MARKER on this vehicle and it has the original transferable registration.
It has been de registered in Ireland.
I got it home, registered and mot tested and a good friend pestered me for it.
I let him have it, if i could use it, and when the time comes i have first refusal. At the moment though i have too many cars so here it is.
Painted once in by the first Irish owner, on a very solid original car needing minimal bodywork and no structural welding the car is in great condition today.
Mot tested every year since 2016 and often used it now has around 63000 miles and it is in turn key and drive mechanical condition with next mot due March 2021.
Not a concourse show car but it would grace any showground.
It has always been a good solid cared for car that has never had major restoration and as far as i can see no structural welding.
A carpet set would be a good addition as a non original carpet was fitted years ago.
