MGB ROADSTER-1964-ORIGINAL PULL HANDLE.
This lovely early roadster from May 64 is I the classic combination of Old English White with Red interior and Chrome wire wheels. The best combo imo. Though MGs never came with Chrome wires as an option it is the most preferred option. The wheels are shod with almost new full matching Dunlop radials. The chrome 2 ear spinners are all A1. The spare is also a wire wheel housed in a fully carpeted boot.
All the bright work is excellent with the bumpers etc all being fairly new. The paintwork again is very good indeed and is polished and ready to go there is no remedial work needed. Underneath there is a light coating of wax oil to preserve for many years. The double duck convertible hood which is detachable on early cars is almost new and has the 3 plastic window option. The interior is 1st class having been trimmed in Red. The trim is in excellent condition along with the carpets etc. There is a period looking radio with all mod cons of usb input , remote control etc. There is a input for a sat nav under dash mounted. The highly polished wood rimmed Moto Lita steering wheel with MG horn push really sets it all off. Inertia seatbelts have been fitted.
There are many really nice sensible and subtle upgrades to make this early MG a pleasure to drive. Most noticeable is the owners club recognised conversion to a 5 speed T9 gearbox. This is a fantastic option to have especially if you intend to drive good distances. The car also has an oil cooler fitted and brand new gas shock absorbers all round. A full stainless exhaust has been fitted. Not only is this rare pull handle fantastic to drive with all its upgrades in fact I would say its one of the best I’ve driven it is fully detailed under the bonnet and is super clean.
A years MOT was put on and end May 2021. It passed with no advisories.
The history file is extensive and shows much has been spent over the years to get this Roadster to this standard. It has been MGOC owned for much of its life and only done dry days out.
To summerise. A rare and sought after early pull handle MG in the best colour and wheel combo that is so pleasing to the eye with some fantastic and subtle upgrades that make this a drivers car that is so easy use. Cosmetically excellent and a joy to drive with detailed engine bay etc.
