In Dark Burgundy with black wings with lightly creased black leather seats.
Built in 1991 from parts supplied by Andy Shepherd, this alloy bodied Ulster Replica was constructed to race both circuits and hillclimbs. It was used in VSCC events and rebuilt in 2007 after an 'off'. The Ulster won its race at Angouleme in 2007 with Malcolm McCoy, the then owner, beating several larger cars including Amilcar specials and Lea Francis.
The car is built to very high standard. The engine has a larger high pressure oil pump for better flow, Honda pistons with big valves, double valve springs, a high lift camshaft, a correct Ulster exhaust manifold and an 11/ 8 SU carburettor with a skimmed and modified high compression cylinder head and a 3 speed close ratio gearbox with gears by Don Rawson.
It has a full complement of correct Ulster gauges including a Smiths rev counter and speedometer and pressure gauge for the fuel tank.
The steering box is a correct raked Ulster item andthere is an orginal dropped front axle with flat springs front and back. The wheels are 19 inch and have new Longstone 3. 50 x 19 tyres and tubes fitted.
As you would expect, the 7 goes like a rocket and is a real hooligan.
