This fabulous low mileage last of the line facelift S. W. B. Turbo R is in Concours condition and is totally unmolested, everything is as it was when new, it has clearly been very well cared for by its few owners, has a stamped service history with receipts and has been garaged from new. A very rare colour combination and specification with many options including every chrome extra available to the front end including a genuine Flying B bonnet mascot. The present long term owner has driven this motor car sparingly but it has been driven on a few European Tours, it is the perfect example for showing or actually driving, it makes a nice change from all the dark paint and light leather examples Bentley built.

It is one of the last of the proper 100% Bentley Motors built SZ series motor cars with every single component being bespoke and not borrowed from BMW or VW. It is the upgraded 1996 model with the new Zytek Fuel Injection with 385 bhp and the uprated gearbox. It still runs on the upgraded Continental R Style 17 inch alloy wheels with lockable centre caps and correct Avon Turbo Speed tyres. This Turbo R has the piped sports seats with additional front grab handles. Dual airbags and remote central locking with alarm now came as standard as well electric tilt steering wheel.
The original specification includes the following extras, opening rear seat armrest, rear quarter badges, chrome radiator shell and vanes, grab handles to both front seats, duchess straps to both rear seats, hide headlining, colour coded cheetah panels, chrome bumper top plates and strip to rubber face, chrome door mirrors, chrome headlamp surrounds, airbag and column cowl in hide and chrome fire extinguisher. Turbo R front wing badges instead of Bentley is also a rare option.
The following was also added, Flying B bonnet mascot, Chrome Badge Bar, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars automatic charger, black bonnet vents and mud flaps.
This Turbo R was registered on 29th January 1996 at Stratstone Wilmslow Cheshire, it was first registered JSY 6. It has clearly been pampered, garaged and used sparingly, the coachwork is in concours condition, it is very difficult to find any blemishes which is rare, helped by all the brightwork such as badges having a rubber plinth. The leather shows very little signs of wear, the burr walnut woodwork is in nearly perfect condition and the door trims have straight grain crossbanding inlay. Every internal surface is either leather or wood, the original Alpine radio cassette is still in place with a C. D. autochanger in the front armrest with the radio remote control in the rear pocket. This late Turbo R has a auto dim rear view mirror, the under bonnet light is even still working. The original tool tray is complete and still in place in the boot compartment. The V8 engine sounds lovely and performs superbly, the adaptive ride offers both taut handling and comfort due to this being the standard wheel base it handles well and is easier to park than the later Turbo RL’s.
This Motor Car can be viewed by prior appointment at the owners home near Lincoln, with good access from the A1 Road and the London to Edinburgh Mainline Railway. It is owned by an enthusiast and is kept garaged alongside his other classics on the trickle charger.
