1955 MG TF - Professional Restoration
As the last of the line of the T Series, The MG TF has always had a special appeal to enthusiasts. The sloping radiator and faired-in headlamps gave the car a most pleasing appearance, without diluting the fact that it was still essentially a “traditional” MG.
Built between October 1953 and April 1955, a considerable proportion went for export, mostly to North America, as the enormous demand for the previous TD model had really started the MG craze in the USA.
Original UK market RHD cars were very much in the minority of the total of 9600 TF models built and today they are quite few and far between.
Presented here is a late model, having been first registered on 30th March 1955.
The subject of a professional restoration, substantiated by photographs, this TF is finished in Old English White with red leather trim. All weather equipment is in excellent condition and the car has been very well maintained with work being carried out by highly regarded specialists.
The engine was fully rebuilt just over 500 miles ago and the car drives extremely well. It is shod with recently renewed radial tyres.
A large file of paperwork accompanies this most attractive MG, including photocopies of old logbooks and numerous bills etc. Sparingly used in recent years, this MG is ready for the coming Spring and Summer and offers the opportunity to participate in a variety of events.
