The Ariel HS (scrambler) and HT (trials) were competition versions of the Red Hunter
Introduced to the Ariel range in 1954 the HS featured a 500cc 9:1 high compression all alloy single engine with special camshaft, heavy duty valve springs, Lucas competition Magneto and Amal TT carburettor, all of these upgrades produced a powerful 40bhp machine
This rare matching numbers HS has been meticulously restored by its owner. Starting from a complete basket case everything was attended to with the restoration being completed in 2011
Since then approximately 10, 000 miles have been covered attending shows and local touring
The HS will be offered for auction with a history file and is only for sale so our vendor can move on to other projects
