What a find this car is - an early right-hand drive English market TD, which has been in the same family since 1969, with a comprehensive history file, including details of a full rebuild at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, in 1980. The car has just been unearthed from its long slumber (15-20 years) during which time, it has still been well maintained. We think the last time it was regularly driven was around the year 2000. The mileage shown is 43, 470, which is probably original. The vehicle has just been MOTd, and is nicely up and running and ready for use, although it could be further improved. The structure of this car is excellent and the mechanics all appear to be fine. The paintwork is now showing its age but is perfectly acceptable unless you are looking for a show wagon! The side screens are extremely good, the hood has some damage, but is quite useable and the interior of the car, again, is pretty good. There is a tonneau which fits well. The underside of the car is in truly excellent condition but not shiny with paint – this is as good as any dry-state American vehicle. We think it would be a pity to restore this car again at the moment, as there are not many examples around with such lovely patina. Lots of paperwork including V5C and MOT certificate, old log books, photos etc.
