2012 Morgan Plus 8 – AA08MOG
Hi, I am selling this fabulous Plus 8 only due to the arrival of my new Plus Six.
I have owned the car for around six years and really enjoyed every minute. As a long time Morgan owner, over 30 years, it has been great to see how Morgan have developed their models which have improved at every change.
This car has the 4. 8ltr BMW engine as used in many large engine BMW models including the X5. It produces around 360bhp which mated to the six speed manual gearbox makes it an absolute joy to drive. In addition the V8 soundtrack is second to none. It uses the same bonded aluminium chassis as the Aero and other similar derivatives which is very stiff and helps the handling.
The car is in great condition, ice white paint with a mulberry leather interior.
It is well equipped including full leather interior, power steering, air conditioning, cruise control, airbags, abs, luggage rack and heated seats. It also has a mohair black hood with the storage/ hatch facility behind the seats.
It is a very cosy place to be even in colder weather.
It has recently had new tyres.
I will also include the period looking wooden trunk for the luggage rack, it is easily removable but also lockable so a very useful feature.
It will come with the registration AA08MOG.
Although produced from 2011 to 2018 there are less than sixty of this Morgan model in the UK – see howmanyleft. com which makes it one of the rarest models. It is sure to hold and increase in value due to this fact alone.
The car was originally a Morgan demonstrator and did sustain some panel damage, no chassis damage. I bought the car in this condition and had it repaired by the Morgan specialist Vintage Sheet Metal (VSM) who restored it to its former glory. There is no CAT C or D listed on the V5. The pricing of the car takes this into account. It is priced substantially below any other Plus 8 of this generation but is every bit as much fun!
I have priced the car competitively to sell. It has an agreed insurance value of £85000 and you will see other cars priced around this level with dealers (when they can get one). The last batch of special edition cars produced in 2018 were priced at £135000!!!!
