This Escort has just been shipped over from South Africa, which has the perfect climate for motor vehicles. It is good to know it, s lifetime has been spent in the South African sun!
DVLA with issue the car an age related number plate, as per the original.
Will come with all necessary paperwork to easily register the car. Nova registered and will supply proof of all taxes paid.

This really is an excellent unmolested Escort that does need some external bodywork, but is an excellent base car.
Strengthened shell from the factory which is quite rare on the 1300cc cars from SA. Shell strengthening is similar to UK RS cars.
Unlike the UK cars which had a small petrol tank on the inside of the rear quarter this Escort has the large tank behind the rear seats and it was factory fitted, tank looks new.
Still has it, s original 1300cc , 711M engine fitted.
Engine runs great. I have never had an old car start so easily (after shipping), first turn of the key, as if it had been started only minutes earlier.
Original floors, chassis rails, sills, etc. Chassis rails have no dents, rust holes and as per the floors i can see no previous welding or any needed (other than to be mentioned).
Only driven the car in my garden but selects all gears and drives back and forth fine.
Heater fan works (very unusual for an old SA car), lights, horn, wipers, wind up windows all work.
Mostly original paint and very original bodywork, not full of filler.
Original spot welds on wings.
Excellent "A" and "B" posts.
Mot and tax exempt.
Bad Bits,
Small hole on corner of n/ s floor outer sill.
Some small dents on roof (hail damage).
N/ S rear arch is dented.
Boot floor is excellent but the wells on both sides will need repairing.
N/ S front wing a bit rough.
Some light external rust and the odd dent .
Interior need sorting.
Heater bubble has some rust.
Delivery can be arranged, but car and delivery will need to be paid for beforehand.
