Beautifully restored with restoration bills running into the hundreds of thousands; this car was prepared to compete inn the London to Lisbon Rally which it successfully completed. Since then the car has been maintained without regard to cost by the New York based owner who uses the car sparingly on trips to Europe.
The car was restored with events & modern day driveability in mind incorporating a host of subtle updates. A description of the works undertaken is listed below which is all in addition to the body off photographic restoration undertaken in Holland by respected marque specialists Fokkens Automobile Restoration:
Remove engine and gear box, cylinder head skim, port and polish, unleaded valve seats. New head gasket set.
New core plugs.
Engine and head cleaned and repainted.
New head studs nuts and washers.

Guy Broad 5 speed gear box conversion with new propshaft.
New lightened flywheel and uprated clutch kit.

Body and interior.
Bespoke front inner stone guards made and fitted. Front and rear mud guards made and fitted.
3M stone protector wrap to front and rear wings. New boot rack fitted.
New bucket seats.
4 point harnesses.
Passenger foot rest.
Post London to Lisbon rally:
Full service, oil filter, air filters and fuel filters. Engine, Diff and gearbox oil.
All bearings greased and adjusted.
Thoroughly cleaned under side.
The car is finished in Jaguar Pacific Blue with light grey hide to the interior along with refinished burr walnut to the dash board. A black lined Mohair hood completes the ensemble. Equipped with a C type head & in perfect mechanical condition this is a fast car well suited to high speed continental touring with the 5 speed gear box making it very long legged. A luugage rack is usefully fitted to the boot allowing for an extra suit case to be carried. The car wnats for nothing & is ready for immediate use.
