Range Rover 4. 6 HSE Royal Edition. 2002
The Royal Edition was built in Europe and was the last of the P38 model. It was built to commemorate the connection with the Royal family and Range Rover. This limited edition was only built in Epsom Green and comes with lots of extra trim and extras.
Most of this model were exported to ex pats and people working for UK governments all around the world, mostly to Japan. This fine example was imported back in 2015 and has zero rust or issues, it is immaculate. With only Two owners here in the UK, the last of which kept this car to such a high standard it is the best I’ve ever seen. With only 59000 miles this Range Rover performs and presents like a Three year old car.
The extras you get with this Limited Edition are well documented. They include Epsom Green metallic paint which on my car is immaculate. Side steps, Range Rover wind deflectors, 18 inch alloys, body spats, tinted glass, electric sunroof, roof rails. Above this a UK tow bar has been fitted with tuck away electrics. On the inside my example again presents like almost new, it is immaculate. The Royal edition came with Full leather and Burr Walnut trim, cruise control, air con, full electric seats inc headrests, heated seats, fitted rubber mates front and rear, Harmon Kardmon speaker upgrade. This is on top of what you get on a standard HSE which is quite impressive. The interior is immaculate and has very little wear. The chassis and engine bay and engine are immaculate as a result of being kept off wet salty roads. The engine bay is so clean it could be mistaken for 1 year old.
The 18 inch alloys are all immaculate and are shod with quality radials.
On the road this Range Rover is an absolute pleasure. It feels like new and is tight and responsive and quiet. The air suspension is all working spot on both in auto mode and manual ride height adjustment. The auto box is responsive and seamless. It can be adjusted at the flick of a switch to sport mode.
I have been very very tempted to keep this Limited Edition, low mileage, immaculate example as IMO it will rocket in price over the coming years. The equivalent car now is Circa 120k and this car is just going to get rarer and rarer. As an investment classic I’m not sure at this price bracket you could find better. MOTD till Nov 2021.
