Description
THIS is a true survivor - and I would suggest that being rust-proofed at new (Zeibart??) has played a huge part in this British Leyland vehicle still being with us today and still being in such a sound state.
She is the Triumph 2500 (straight-6) twin-carb model with a manual/ overdrive box. She drives superbly with overdrive working on 3rd and 4th and has a great comfortable feel to her.
As I say, the rust proofing has played a major part. All her floor pans are un-molested and still in the original factory Honeysuckle colour. When you look at the A, B and C pillars, they are all excellent too as is the underside and the engine bay - even though it has been "black" since new because of the rust proofing product! Interior is lovely with no apparent damage to the seats. The wooden dash is very good too. She does have some imperfections here and there in the paintwork, but the bits and pieces are nothing serious in my view. You will notice that the curved piece of rear chrome bumper is absent from the offside. It looks as though someone thought he had bought two corner pieces - except they are both for the nearside and so one is still missing.
Last MoT expired in 2017 (no advisories).
She was owned by the same person for the first 40 years of her life and, clearly has been much loved. There is plenty of info in the history file to back this up.
