From sunny Malta regretfully i have my Morris Marina 1. 5 diesel 1979 for sale. In Malta diesel models were quite popular although very few were produced worldwide( less than 3000 units) At the time most British Leyland cars were imported as body shells plus parts and assembled at the Malta car assembly as the boot badge shows. The reason behind the Malta car assembly was to create work for the locals as Malta was in a difficult period at the time. My car is probably one of the very few unrestored examples left having only 34000 kms (21500 miles) with original bill of purchase. documents . receipts. handbooks …ect from new. I purchased the car in 2008 from the original owner's sisters after he passed away. Once I acquired the car I had to replace the clutch as the old man used to slip it towards the end of his driving and once the engine was out it was cleaned and re painted back as original. Ziebarted from new the car is completely rust free. The paintwork is almost all original except for a couple of patches on wings and part of a door. the interior is perfect and original all over. The car runs perfectly and starts strait away after giving it some seconds of heater. No issues in gear change or suspension noises though the poor front suspension system of the Marina. This car is a rare find and a piece British Leyland history especially in this condition and the value of these cars has been going up quickly in the last 2 years since most models were destroyed. Viewing would be the best option to appreciate the actual condition of this car but pictures speak for themselves. Shipping to uk can be arranged at a very reasonable price. More pictures and info available on request.
