It might be that the VW Porsche model stands in the shadow of its famous 911 cousins but take a ride in our example and experience real driving pleasure. The engine, which is newly renovated and upgraded to 2. 4 litre with an effect of 143 bhp, pulls nicely and powerful from lov revs accompanied by a lovely sound from the intake of the 2 double large EMPI carburetors. The center engine makes the car steer like a go cart and together with the fine brakes the driving experience - dare one say it - does not differ that much from a 911. The 914 gearbox - derived from the original 901 box - with dog leg shift pattern works well and it is evident that our example has a very nice set-up.
Behind the Momo Prototipo wheel you sit comfortable - and low - in the fine seats and then it is just to start the engine up and enjoy the ride.
Since delivery in December 1972 the car has spent its life in California before it was imported to Holland in 2014 and came to Denmark in 2015. In Denmark the car was owned by a Porsche enthusiast who took very good care of it. The car is fitted with 17" EMPI wheels, the original 15`Fuchs can be fitted instead if requested by a buyer.
This is a fine possibility to acquire a 914 while they are still affordable and we are sure that it will provide you pure joy every time you get into the seat.
The car comes with Danish papers and is delivered with period Danish License Plates.
