Description

VW Camper T2: Viking 4 Berth/ Power Steering

The Volkswagen camper is an iconic image recognised all over the world that is ideal for holiday adventures - we drove the Atlantic Way coast road around Ireland in our split-screen two summers ago - lazy days at the beach with the family or simply camping at the Goodwood Revival with music, beer & BBQ.

Milestone Classics has a soft spot for air-cooled VW’s and we simply could not resist this stunning bus. “Noggin” (he has the heart of a Viking!) is a 4 berth, bay window RHD 1973 Viking conversion in two tone Bright Orange (L-20) & Pastel White (L-90) with pop-top, sink, cooker double bed (not rock & roll), two bunks in the roof and lots of storage.

Summary:

·  4 birth Viking conversion with original pop-top and rare front sunroof.

·  Rebuilt 1642cc engine by highly respected VW specialist Harry Harpics

·  Power Steering – Lite Steer

·  Engine bay fire suppression extinguisher system

·  Lowered by approximately 4cm’s and running replica Porsche style Gas Burner wheels

·  Always maintained in top mechanical condition

·  Original 1970’s awning & interior furniture

·  New cushion foams/ covers/ curtains

·  Leisure battery with isolation switch to main battery (when parked up)

·  Expensive body restoration during 2015 that has really stood the test of time.

This bus has been cherished for 10 years by the previous owner and is only for sale due to a change of circumstances. We estimate that over £20, 000 has been spent to bring Noggin to his current condition. There are no corrosion issues and, on the road the Bus, with the power steering and uprated engine, is an absolute delight to drive.

The huge history folder goes back to day one with original service book and invoices from the late 1970’s, old MOT’s, Drivers Handbook and original Birth Certificate from Auto-Museum Volkswagen indicating he left Wolfsburg on 13th June 1973.

Everybody should own a VW Camper once in their life. This is one of the brightest/ best driving T2's that we have had the pleasure to offer for sale and is turn-key ready for new adventures with the lucky new owners
