First registered new in 1961 and delivered to its first owner in Bendigo . This car remained in Victoria , and in 1978 with the registration expired the car was discovered and repatriated from an aircraft hangar in Barham , Victoria where it was found to be still in original condition.
Finished in Borgward Graphite Grey with a red and cream interior, and a completely original dashboard, also in cream with a red capping and white sidewall tyres.
The manual transmission is a 4 speed column shift and the 1500cc engine is a willing performer. A recent complete brake overhaul has been carried out as well.
The car comes complete with the original handbook and accessories booklet which are still contained in the beautifully original leather pouch with the Borgward logo and the Wagen-Papiere stampings in gold. Also included are copies of the Workshop Manual and parts catalogue and a Borgward information folder.
