The final incarnation in Mark 7 form of Volkswagen’s iconic Golf GTi – this is the TCR…..
More power (286 bhp) and torque (380 Nm) than the ‘standard’ GTi, plus 7 speed DSG semi automatic transmission, limited slip diff, 20mm lower suspension, uprated brakes and an Akrapovic sports exhaust system.
Visually, the TCR (Touring Car Racing) has some additional features for the exterior, Optioned in Pure white, this example has the contrasting black roof plus black wing mirror caps, deep front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and ‘TCR’ logo above the sills. This logo is seen again when you open the front doors; projected from the mirrors.
18? ‘Belvedere’ alloy wheels, LED headlights with red details, classic red pinstriping and GTi badge on the radiator grille and darkened red LED rear lights.
Moving inside, the black interior is accentuated with flashes of red, including red ambient lighting. The heated Sports seats, complete with embroidered GTi logo, are finished in a mix of Alcantara style fabric with ‘Flashred’ centre panels and red stitching. The red stitching is continued on the centre and door armrests, DSG gearchange and 3-spoke Sports steering wheel.
Fully digital instrument panel, Sat-Nav and a reversing camera. 2-zone ‘Climatronic’ air conditioning
‘Composition Media’ infotainment system (with 8 speakers), DAB digital radio plus the flexibility of listening to music via Smartphones, MP3 etc plus USB, SD and AUX IN.
Supplied by Murray Volkswagen of Plymouth in October 2019 (for the 2020 model year) and serviced by them in October 2020.
