EXTERIOR
Finished in metallic Basalt Black, this 987 Boxster in sought-after manual certainly looks the part. The paintwork presents in really great order throughout with only a few very small imperfections to report, namely a handful of stone chips and one or two minor car park dings. The body retains a deep glossy shine across every panel and the electric-folding soft-top is without any major marking or damage. A very clean example in arguably the best colour combo.
INTERIOR
Boasting the desirable Sports seat option, the airy Boxster cabin is a wonderful place to be; the seats are also heated and electrically-adjustable for maximum comfort and convenience. The upholstery remains in very good order with only a small amount of wear to the driver's bolster worthy of note. Other commonly worn areas such as the leather steering wheel and gearknob are also in great shape, and there are no unsightly scratch marks to the PCM screen. Additional spec includes satnav, Bluetooth, and rear parking sensors. In the footwells a set of genuine Porsche overmats can still be found.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
With so many Boxsters of this generation equipped with PDK, manual examples such as this one are few and far between. The 6-speed gearbox is a real joy to operate, still feeling very tight and precise - a perfect pairing with the 2. 9-litre powerplant. The last service was carried out at 81k miles.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 18-inch alloy wheels are all in excellent condition throughout. They are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round, each with ample tread remaining.
HISTORY FILE
The Boxster was first registered in September 2010. It has now driven just 87k miles in the hands of only 3 registered keepers, the current owner having purchased the car back in early 2015. The last major service was carried out in March 2020 at 81, 321 miles. The MOT is valid until September 2021.
