Description

Finished in stunning Healey Blue Metallic with Ivory Duotone this stunning Austin Healey 3000 is a very late BJ8 Phase II model built on 5th July 1967. Despatched two weeks later from the Abingdon factory this MkIII was shipped out with overdrive, a heater, wire wheels, an adjustable steering column and tonneau. The car retains its original engine, gearbox and body numbers.

At present day the car presents exceptionally well having been restored in the Netherlands around 2010-15 with a bare metal engine out repaint, new Navy leather seating, Navy carpet, interior panels and mechanical works. In June 2017 the car received more mechanical refurbishment at a Northern Healey specialist including a new steering box, wiring loom, brake servo and overhaul, dashboard and more. The chrome wire wheels were replaced in 2020.

Inside the car features a fine example of the sumptuous MkIII interior in very good condition, free of marks or tears, the new wood unmarked and all BJ8 instrumentation present and correct. In October 2020 this Healey was fitted with a beautiful new mohair roof, hood bag and tonneau (still unused in its bag) which remain immaculate, each setting the car off nicely.

Supplied serviced with MOT, large paperwork history file, recent restoration invoices, British Motor Heritage Certificate of Authenticity, spare wheel, Thor hammer and jack.
