Description
Dax Cars was founded in 1968 and were based in North Weald, Essex. They started as a fibreglass moulding company, named DJ Sportcars Int. and became the first British company to make a kit-based replica of the AC Cobra. Launched in 1996 and designed by ex-Ford designer Peter Walker, the Kamala was a radical looking original super car utilising the Cosworth 2 litre turbo engine. This kit was bought by the vendor’s late father in 1999 and dry stored since. Most parts originally bought with the body and chassis kit appear present, it is currently sat on old, worn tyres simply for ease of movement. The kit was started, and the craftsmanship befits the aircraft standard engineering of its owner. The kit cost £10, 674. 48 (inc. VAT) in 1999 and is now offered with a Lancia Stratos windscreen as a suitable addition. The original bill is included with the car detailing the owner’s specification.
