The Citroën 2CV (in French: "deux chevaux") is a front-wheel drive economy car presented at the «Paris Mondial de l'Automobile» in 1948. The 2CV was produced by Citroën until 1990, with a total of 3. 867. 932 units being produced.
After production ceased at the Levallois plant in France in 1988, the Mangualde Citroën plant in Portugal maintained the assembly of the 2CV until the end of July 1990, thus, the 2CV survived the Visa, the car presented in 1978 to replace the 2CV, and was still produced for four years after the launch of the Citroën AX.
