This exceptional MGA 1600 Roadster has covered less than 1000 miles since a complete nut and bolt, body off restoration. The car was completely rebuilt by an MGA expert in South Wales and since completion in late 2020 has been gently run in. The MGA is finished in the stunning, popular colour of Iris Blue with Dark Blue upholstery, chrome wire wheels and comes with a comprehensive photographic record and invoices for all new parts.
The A was taken right down to the bare chassis which was then completely re-painted and built up with new brakes, new steering components and new suspension. The engine was stripped down and completely rebuilt with new bearings, and the cylinder head rebuilt for unleaded. The MGA was upgraded with a five speed gearbox making the car ideal for longer distance touring. The MG was treated to new/ overhauled ancillaries and totally re-wired. The bodyshell was rebuilt, painted inside and outside in Iris Blue and with the body back on the chassis, the interior fully re-trimmed and full weather equipment fitted The MGA was built up with all new bumpers, various chrome lights, trims, rubbers, new chrome wires and tyres.
With less than 1000 miles since rebuild the MGA is presented in beautiful condition. The restoration has been carried out to a high standard with a top quality paint finish, beautiful underside and show class engine bay. The interior trim is all as new, as is the boot compartment. On the road the MGA is a delight, the rebuilt 1600 engine pulls superbly and holds excellent oil pressure, the five speed gearbox is perfect to use, and the car handles beautifully. The car feels very fit, sharp, correct and precise and is an absolute delight to drive. This is a great opportunity to buy a fully rebuilt example that's covered very little mileage since completion, its ideal for summer touring, shows and events.
