Description
This final production specification, very late 1966 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII is a BJ8 Phase II car despatched on the 3rd May 1966 from the Abingdon factory. The BJ8 Phase II featured the highest levels of power and refinement available from Austin Healey, producing 150BHP with wind-up windows, an easy-up ‘pram-style’ hood, increased ground clearance and a new De-Luxe interior.
This particular example remains in its original and highly desirable colours of Healey Ice Blue Metallic with Navy interior, Navy hood and a Navy tonneau. The car was highly specified from the factory with wire wheels, overdrive, an adjustable steering column, tonneau and a heater.
The car retains its original numbers engine, gearbox, rear axle and all body panels are originals. It even comes with the original keys. A complete car, well suited to a high-end restoration.
