First registered May 8th 1998, R76 HHK, unusual six-digit registration.
Ford Escort Ghia 16 valve (Zetec twin cam) in Autumn Green Metallic. Current mileage 61, 090.
Starts on the button every time. smooth engine, lovely drive. MoT to 13/ 07/ 2022.
Equipped with power steering, front electric windows, electric door mirrors, tilt/ slide glass sunroof with shade, tinted glass, electric heated screen, and Ford 5000RDS radio/ cassette player (radio code known).
Mostly original paint, high impact areas of sills were de-rusted and spray painted by me last year. Spent £200 on paint-less dent removal on bodywork in February 2019. The car presents very well and has attracted favourable comments. The only areas of body rust are small areas on the lower edges of the driver's side doors, from stone chipping (see photos). There are some very minor surface scratches on the bodywork and painted bumpers, and stone chips to the leading edge of the bonnet, completely consistent with a 23 year old car with original paint that has done around 60, 000 miles. It has never been welded and does not need any welding.
The Ghia interior is clean and immaculate.
New catalytic converter fitted Dec 2018.

This car was used by me as a daily driver for 12 months, between the summer of 2018 and 2019, and since then has been kept as a second car for occasional use only.
In October 2018 I injected cavity wax in the sills, body members and doors and sprayed the underside with rust preventative wax. The areas under the wheel arches may benefit from a re-application, but the wax in the sills and box sections should last for years.
