Up for a reluctant sale is my 1997 750iL.
Finished in the beautiful contrasting combination of Orient blue over pearl beige nappa leather, with navy blue carpets, dash and door details.
This particular car is complete with many of the most desirable features, aside from its luxurious and silky smooth V12, such as full rear blinds, picnic tables, extended nappa leather (extended to door cards, centre console and glovebox etc).
The rear seats are electric reclining and heated - and there is a separate rear AC control panel for the rear passengers. In the armrest of the rear seat, you will also find a phone, front passenger seat and electric blind controls, and a MIDI unit for the radio with full control over the audio. That's right, front passenger seat controls - so when you are in the back and feel like you need a little more legroom, simply move the passenger seat forward yourself.
The car is pictured on 16-inch wheels with winter tyres - and is currently on 20-inch BMW BBS 2 piece split wheels. Either or both can be sold with the car depending on preference and price.
The car comes with the private registration and is MOT'd and ready to drive away. The air con is ice cold and the car drives without fault. It is all complete and original.
There is a significant amount of history and paperwork with the car, however the service book itself has been misplaced. BMW can confirm a number of visits, however, I cannot, for this reason, describe it as having a full history present despite knowing that it has in fact had one. There are hundreds of invoices covering services, new headlining, fault corrections, gearbox service etc. This car has been prized by its previous owners.
Points to note and why this car is not 5 figures (yet) are a few things that need sorting:
- The sunroof does not retract. It tilts but does not retract.
- There is a small dent on the rear quarter which I am told should be possible to remove as it is not significantly creased.
- There is very small patch about 5p of corrosion and a small scratch on the drivers side rear arch.
- The EDC (electronic dampers) have been removed by the previous owner and standard shocks and struts have been fitted.
- There are a few minor marks on the car, as you might expect. It does clean up very well though.
This is an extremely reluctant sale and I wont sell to just anyone. Anyone who wishes to start the conversation on price will be ignored. I am looking for an enthusiast to take over cherishing this lovely car. I currently have three 7 series cars in my small collection of BMW's - and having recently acquired an Alpina B7, something needs to go as I simply don't have the time to enjoy so many cars and these cars don't like sitting around very much.
