This really is a unique opportunity to acquire a totally original fire engine.
Chassis number the details below was built in September 1958.
Ordered from the factory in Fire Engine red it has survived in remarkable condition due to being stored in a Ciba Polymers factory at Duxford and little used from 1958 to 1996. The mileage of 5000 showing is believed to be genuine due to the condition.
In 1996 it was donated to Sawston Fire Station as an exhibit.
Registered at the DVLA in 1998.

Up to date V5 document here and ready to go in new owners name
It was sold off in 2003 to its first private owner.
It has since had another private owner from 2013 to 2021.
I have never seen a Series 2 Land Rover in such original unmolested condition.
The chassis is superb and the bulkhead again in great untouched condition.
Not used on the road for a few years so will need the brakes recommissioning before use and some electrical work will need to be done.
The exhaust is blowing at the back so will need replacing.
The bodywork is very straight and the paint will polish up to look good.
The original engine starts well and has its 58 dated carb and radiator! It even has its swan neck manifold.
The Iso Speedic engine governor is all present and correct.
All wheels dated 7/ 58 or 8/ 58.
The pump is operated by the PTO lever under the middle seat!
