Description

Restored between June 2016 and December 2017 this 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII has been comprehensively restored from a new Kilmartin chassis by specialists JME Healeys and covered just 700 miles since. The final tweaking and break-in of this car was completed at JME early 2018.

Please see our website for photos of the restoration and more detailed photos of the car.

Finished in Healey Blue Metallic with Ivory Duotone, Navy interior with Navy carpet set, Navy Everflex wet weather gear plus Aluminium Silver wire wheels wearing sticky Avon tyres this investment grade car is without fault, on the button and ready for a new custodian.

During restoration the car received upgrades of a new Kilmartin chassis, Denis Welch CNC steering box, a high torque starter motor, interior power points, a large core radiator and additional electric fan plus a matching Navy carpeted boot (an upgrade over the typical plastic hydura.

Much of the panelling and inner structures of then car remain original as does the engine and drivetrain, chrome and much more.

With just 700 miles since restoration the car presents immaculately throughout, with the paint very deep, the interior as new with that wonderful new car smell and the car driving sensationally thanks to the substantially stiffer new Kilmartin chassis - a wonderful feature that will ensure this cars future longevity for many decades to come being a much higher quality item than the original.  Performance from the engine is exactly as a strong factory fresh Healey should be and the gearbox is wonderfully smooth.

MKH 903E must be the finest Austin Healey 3000 MkIII currently available on the market. The cost to build this car today would exceed the asking price.

Supplied with MOT, full and photographic documentation of restoration from both the restoring owner and JME Healeys, full paperwork documentation of all restoration activities, British Motor Heritage Certificate of Authenticity, full wet weather gear including tonneau, tonneau bars and hood bag, Thor Hammer and jack, protective spinner protector and more.
