TVR T350c – 4. 0 A/ C – TVR Development Car
A TVR T350c that is a unique car in that it is the development vehicle commissioned by Peter Wheeler that appeared on the 2002 motor show stand, and we have reason to believe was the first T350 finished of the famous first two that appeared at the motor show, and that feature on a factory video which you can now watch on Youtube about the first t350s.
You will also see a photo showing Peter Wheeler’s name written on the inside of the body trim and the original build sheet showing it was the motor show car.
We also believe it's the car used in the Vicki Butler Henderson Fifth Gear road test.
The car is finished in Silver Stardust, with Blue hide, with white stitching, and now shows 80, 000 miles, supported by a stunning history file.
There are several differences between this car compared to the final production car. Originally the filler cap was in a different position, and although this was moved by the factory before it left them, you can see the shadow on the body where it once was. The fuel flap handle is also different, it is in a cubby hole in the rear of the car. There is no cut-out on the rear panel below the hatch. There are a few other differences; of course, it’s a 4. 0….
It was owned by TVR Engineering for the first three years of its life and had extensive servicing over that time. All are recorded in the history.
The car was bought from TVR Engineering by a dealer and has had three further owners since TVR ownership. We purchased the car originally in the summer of 2021 from the custodian who had loved and cherished the car since 2010, and we then sold it in October 2021, following some extensive work at TVR101, and then a large pre-sales prep list carried out by ourselves, listed below.
The car has covered 80, 000 miles but the engine was rebuilt to 4. 0 litre Red Rose spec at 56, 000 miles at STR8SIX. It looks as though the car was always fitted with a 4. 0-litre engine. (Good old TVR…).
The car has also been subjected to a full interior retrim, now finished in beautiful Blue diamond-stitched leather. This was carried out in 2017 at a cost of around £6000.
The car has extensive but sympathetic upgrades including ceramic coated manifolds, Sagaris brakes, completely refurbished quilted leather interior (2016) including headlining, air conditioning, alloy radiator, and uprated starter motor.
In November 2020 the car went to TVR 101 and had over £4500 spent on it.
This included:

Fuel hoses replaced
Steering rack gaiters replaced
Fuel pump replaced
Fuel tank heat shield replaced
New alloy radiators inc A/ C
New battery
The fuel tank was removed and repaired due to a minor leak.
The chassis is in excellent condition, having been Dinitol treated from an early age.
Our pre-sales prep in October 2021 included:
New Bilstein Tuscan ‘S’ Shocks and T350 Eibach Springs all round
Full Geo set up
New tyres – Dunlop Sport Maxx
Refurbishment of the steering rack
Oil and Filter Service, coolant change and check-over, and set up of throttle pots etc. (…these have been rebushed in the recent history).
Redress chassis areas as required with protection to match.
Various other small jobs to bring it up to our standard.
40hrs in total was spent on the car's mechanical preparation.

Will be serviced again before the sale, and receive a fresh MOT.
The car is in very good condition, it looks far better than many cars we see with a third of the mileage. There is a lovely history file with many thousands of pounds of love and care detailed within. Plus photos of the car on the motor show stand and the TVR Blackpool history. A real piece of TVR history, and still in superb condition, and even rarer to find with the 4 litre Red Rose engine.
