Because I have been so messed about Im now selling for an absolute bargain price.
My 1962 Mercedes L319, it was used for the filming of Walt Disney Cruella and has been dry stored ever since
This is 1 of 2 RHD Mercedes L319 panel vans in the UK, so super rare, apart from this example I have never seen another... They were manufactured by Mercedes from 1959 - 1969 being the precursor to the Mercedes Sprinter of today. This example was delivered new to Australian, hence why its in such great condition.
In terms of size its about the same size of a current sprinter, so ideal for a camper conversion, coffee van or service vehicle to tow your classic, (Good wood members meeting/ Silverstone Classic and the Revival)
Back in the 1960's Porsche/ Mwercedes used these as service vehicles to support there Le Man race cars, as per (Last couple of photos)
It was originally fitted with a 45bhp diesel engine, however during its life it has been converted to a Toyota land cruiser 3000 straight 6 petrol engine, making it 100% reliable and far more useable. The engine is super smooth, starts on the button, run beautifully, selects gears and is a dream of an engine.
It also has professionally fitted LPG system, fully working
This is a very straight van, it has the most minor of bodywork corrosion and I mean very minor, so could be used as is, but warrants being painted as it really would look phenomenal
The L319 in RHD is probably one of the rarest Mercedes in existance, as only a handful still exist and certainly not in this condition.
t's also ULEZ/ TAX and MoT exempt, I would recommend its trailered away (Brakes bind a little) however I can help with delivery if needed at buyers cost.
(Please no more time wasters)
