Arguably one of Pininfarina’s finest creations, the Ferrari 328 is beautiful from any angle. Its timeless elegance, exceptional chassis and fabulous V8 cement it firmly in its place as a very desirable classic.
Supplied in April 1987, low miles and only 6 keepers, this is one of just 542 RHD GTS produced and one of the 250 non-ABS examples.
Benefiting from a solid maintenance history, supported by a folder of invoices, receipts and MOT certificates, plus the original service book with 27 service stamps (including 10 cambelt changes.)
In May 2021, Ferrari specialists J P Performance Cars carried out a major service (with spark plugs, cambelts and water pump). This GTS also underwent a full strip down and repaint in its original colour of Rosso Corsa. Fully refurbished 16 inch Speedline ‘Daytona’ alloys, rejuvenated tan leather interior along with all new Wessex red carpets. There are photographs following the progress of this work. The car has covered less than 20 miles since and, as such, presents in immaculate condition.
Driving a Ferrari is an occasion to be savoured. With the Targa roof panel removed, the sensation is amplified; the 3. 2 litre V8 is nestled just behind your shoulders. First gear, on a dog-leg in the trademark open gate, selects into place with a satisfying metallic click. The clutch (this one was replaced just 2, 700 miles ago) is light, and although there’s no assisted steering, once you’re on the move, the experience is one of total precision and balance.
