Descripción
‘Collection by Vermant' is very proud to be able to present to you this beautiful Mercedes 190SL from April 1956. The car is equipped with its matching numbers 1. 9L strong 4 cylinder engine, producing 105 hp. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels by means of the original manual 4-speed gearbox.
The Roadster left the factory on 27 April 1956 and was sold to his first owner in Brussels, Belgium. It was finished in ‘Graublau’ with a blue leather interior and a black soft top.
In may 2017 this unique piece of Mercedes history underwent a complete restoration. The bodywork was completely stripped, sandblasted and fitted with new sheet metal parts... For the finish, the original colour ‘Graublau' was chosen once again, after which the whole was rebuilt with new parts (rubbers, chrome, ...).
The engine, Solex carburators, gearbox and suspension were completely disassembled as well and assembled again with new or reconditioned parts.
Finally, the interior was completely revamped in red leather. A black more softtop was installed again as well..
The car was subsequently delivered in May 2019.
Meanwhile, the car was only allowed to cover 1160 km since the restoration.
It is therefore not surprising that the car is still in perfect condition.
De 190SL is equipped with:
- A Belgian registration
- A photo book showing the restoration
- A valuation report (Note 2+)
- A copy of the ‘Datenkarte’
- An original Hardtop in original condition
- An original back seat option (extremely rare)
