Description
1914 Model T Ford Pickup. This is a genuine 1914 Model T Ford with the correct 1914 engine/ gearbox, chassis, radiator, and all tin work but has some slightly newer and better items fitted like early 20’s axles and steering column, they are all interchangeable on a Model T. It has a starter motor and newish working hood. Fitted with new superstrong balanced SCAT Crankshaft, Z alloy head for much improved performance, cooling and fuel consumption, also has a high ratio rear axle for faster cruising speed 40mph!. Also has super Truefire ignition to eliminate the usual trembler coil ignition faults water pump, electric petrol pump, long life brake bands, later type clutch hub, the magneto (alternator) runs the 12v electric lights (converted from gas) as well as keeping the battery charged all the time. Fitted with the later 1927 type wired on wheels/ tyres so has normal spare wheel, much easier and cheaper than beaded edge tyres. Good working handbrake (unusual) and working period speedometer. Ford only ever built their own Pickup in 1926/ 7 before that you either converted a Roadster or bought a rolling chassis and built your own. Valuable transferable English registration number. Used for many Model T Ford Club events, local shows or for taking my motorcycles around. Reducing my collection. Very different to drive, but easy when you know how! Also selling a British Redditch built 1960 Royal Enfield 250 Crusader Sports, nearly finished project.
