Descripción
Rare and Unique, converted by top Dune specialists. This is a Flatlands Engineering Dune Buggy, based on a 1973 model Volkswagen 1300 Beetle. As a Beetle, the car was given away as a prize by Barclays Bank to Lisa Redshaw of Manchester, England. It was then used by this lady's daughter, and sometime around 2000, the process of turning the car into a Dune Buggy began. The job seems to have been completed about 2011, and the vendor purchased it in 2013. The car has a substantial history file, including an invoice for a new engine in 2002, since when, it seems to have done very little mileage.
There is a letter from Volkswagen confirming the date of build, two letters from Barclays about the prize win, various brochures from Flatland Engineering, quite a few old MoTs, and lots of invoices for parts used in the build.
The car is in very good condition all round, and has an MoT to confirm its roadworthiness. A lot of fun, for not a lot of money. Shown in the V5c registration document as a Volkswagen 1300 Beetle Convertible Historic Vehicle.
The car is in currently in South France however can be transported back to England.
