1970 VW beetle
This is one crazy looking car , it has had a one off custom air brushed paint job the rust is all fake and is part of the paint effect .
This car runs and drives with the 1300 cc engine running very well and the gearbox shifts faultlessly with a scat trigger shifter .
I’m selling this car as a project, if you would want to mot it ( it’s actually mot exempt and tax exempt ) it needs some welding to the floor pan underneath the frame head area , it also needs the suspension king and link pins checking as they have quite a lot of play and also the brakes need a good checking over have, but all the above parts are very cheap and easily obtainable from all the aircooled specialist online shops .
This car is a real head turner and a competent mechanic could have the above work carried out and ready for the road very easily without a massive cost .
The rest of the car is very solid and has some wonderful accessories, including front opening safari window , and both rear pop out side windows, electric windows, and alarm system.
It’s a recent import from South America so it’s LHD and although it’s a 1970 it’s based on the earlier pre 65 body shell which is the same for most South American cars .
The car has full UK registration and only has one uk owner since arriving in 2018 .
The car is over 50 years old and may have more issues than I can see without going over it with a fine toothed comb , but this is a good opportunity to buy a real one off .
Delivery available to anywhere in the UK for full asking price , I’d recommend collecting on trailer due to the above points that need attention.
