Fiesta Mk3
1992 Ford Fiesta 1. 1i Mk3,
Finished in Diamond white with period two tone Ford motorsport blue coach lines. The Fiesta has only covered 51k miles from new and is in absolutely fantastic condition. I’m only the third owner of it.
The 13” steel wheels have recently benefited from a full powder coating and new old stock hubcaps have been fitted. Brand new 155/ 70 R13 tyres all round.
The Fiesta drives superbly having recently been driven to the Hagerty insurance ‘Festival of the unexceptional’ which was a round trip of around 300 miles and it was an absolute pleasure to drive. If you know old front wheel drive Fords then you’ll know how to tell when they’ve done mileage. The gearshift Is firm and not like stirring porridge. The OHV engine is smooth and quiet. There are a few stamps in the original service book pack showing that this Fiesta was regularly serviced from new. It still has its original Darons Ford dealership sticker in the back window along with matching number plates.
The MOT expires currently October 2021 although I may well update this and put a refreshed 12 months on it so please check with me.
There have been some good cosmetic repairs to the rear wheel arches just in front of the rear arches where it meets the sill. These haven’t been done in my ownership.
Original matching dealership number plates and window sticker correspond to book pack.
A replacement period Sharp radio cassette player is in the car although the original Ford item is present in the boot.
It has a Britax factory factory fitted 2 stage pop up sunroof.
Everything works as you’d expect it to and I have carried out quite a few recent mechanical repairs to keep it on the road.
This is the second Classic Ford Fiesta I’ve been lucky enough to own, the first being a Mk2 but this drives so much nicer and being injection it starts on the button and every time.
It’s a really fantastic starter classic Ford for someone.
