Just arrived with us here at RFH Classics we have probably the nicest example of a 1960 Austin A40 MK1 Countryman finished in Farina Grey with the contrasting Black Roof and immaculate Red Piped Black trim. This car comes to us as part of a private collection of cars with this particular car being part of that collection for the past 8 years. Every time I look at this car I have to remind myself it is 62 years old, it is beautiful condition and a real credit to its former owners who have substantially restored the car to near perfect condition. The interiors trim sports a very appropriate area piping to the seat trim that contrasts perfectly with the Red wool carpets fitted. This particular example is a Countryman example which means it has a lower tailgate and opening top glass making it quite a practical classic if you have a dog that enjoys travelling with you or perfect to perch on to enjoy your picnic. The A40 Countryman certainly is not a technically laden car indeed you will find push up windows and certainly not other mod cons. Due to its age no seat belts are fitted to the car but this just seems to add to the charm and originality of the car although it may be possible to retro fit seat belts should the new owner feel this appropriate. Under the bonnet is as clean a the rest of the car and is still fitted with the 948cc engine paired with a 4 speed manual gearbox. Under current guidelines this car is exempt from needing an MOT however prior to leaving us it will have been through our workshops and given a comprehensive vehicle inspection, independent MOT and benefit from a 3 Month Warranty.
