Launched in 2001, the X400 ‘X-Type’ entered the fray of luxury saloons dominated by the 3-series and C-Class of its German competitors. Launched initially in all wheel drive, the X-Type used a adapted Ford CD132 ensuring reliability and driving comfort to its loyal Jaguar clientele, who at the time didn’t have a platform in the small executive class.
Our X-Type is spec’d in ‘winter gold pearl metallic’ paintwork, automatic transmission and cream leather interior giving the car a traditional appeal. The car is accompanied by a large service history file neatly documented by the vendor since he bought the car 2, 000 miles into its life. The vendor has stressed he’s taken meticulous care of the vehicle during his ownership, ensuring the car has everything working on it to his knowledge.
Reluctantly being let go by its Guildford-based vendor due to ill health, ‘DW07 BCW’ appears in smart condition, with only minor signs of age. The interior especially has been well looked after with the leather seats showing very little sign of wear. Since being on site the car has sounded as it should when started and moved smoothly through its gears.
