1 owner for the past 47 years.
It must now be extremely rare to find an Imp with all original panels and paintwork, that has never needed restoration. Even the green wheel arch paint is Linwood original.
36, 044 miles. Drives really well, with a wonderful 1960s period feeling.
The car is the improved Mk 2 Chamois version. First registered 1 July 1966, Forest Green with White side stripes and black interior. Registered Historic Class, therefore Tax Exempt and Mot Exempt. Complete history known. Owned by me since 1974.
An entirely standard car except for – SPAX adjustable dampers, factory approved front camber kit, laminated windscreen, period radio.
In 2018, after 39 years of careful storage, a respected Imp specialist carried out the recommissioning work, finishing with an MoT pass with no advisories. New tyres were of course fitted. I am now not using this car enough, so for that reason, it is reluctantly time for me to sell and let another Imp enthusiast enjoy the car.
Also included in the sale will be:- original green log book; Owner’s Handbook; Rootes Group sales brochure (featuring a matching Forest Green Chamois Mk 2); Sales, Service and Parts main dealer booklet (no longer helpful, but of historical interest); various spare parts; several books; period articles and decades of Imp Club Impressions magazines.
A very rare opportunity to purchase an all original Imp. £7, 500. Tel: the details below
