For sale - my much loved Yamaha XS750SE US Custom. The bike was manufactured in 1979 and badged as the XS750SE Special for the US market from where it was imported to the UK in 1994. I purchased the bike in July 2009 from the previous owner who had owned the bike for 3 years. The current mileage is 33, 913 and the MOT expires on 20th January 2023.

The bike is in excellent condition overall and starts and runs perfectly. It has the original 3 into 2 exhaust system and the triple DOHC engine sounds fantastic with that characteristic off-beat growl. The engine, gearbox and shaft drive system all run smoothly with a clean, positive gear-change. Also note that this bike has the newer '2nd generation' engine introduced in 1979 which took power up to 74 BHP.

The bike has always been garaged in a dry, damp-free brick garage and only ever ridden in the dry since I have owned it. It’s been serviced every year regardless of mileage (which has been zero some years) using Castrol oils & fluids and Yamaha original filters and parts. The bike has recently had over £400 spent to replace the rear calliper seals with Yamaha original parts, fit new NGK spark plugs and the carburettors have been professionally cleaned and balanced. I have also just installed a brand new, sealed Yuasa battery (receipts available).

WRT issues / faults; The upper sections of the front fork stanchions are slightly pitted (see photos) but the pits are well above the range of travel into the fork legs and therefore not an issue for the MOT. The oil pressure sensor does not work and never has done since I purchased the bike in 2009. Other than this, I am not aware of any other problems or issues.

The bike has been well loved and looked after and is an excellent example of a rare, classic 1970’s Yamaha.
