Lancia launched the beautiful Fulvia Coupe back in 1965 in response to the Alfa Romeo’s Bertone Coupe. Unlike the Alpha, the Fulvia was front-wheel drive and at the same time contained a host of the fine little details that are characteristic of the Lancia from the time before Fiat took over. Our copy is a Series 3, which was the latest and most up-to-date version of the Fulvia.
We have found the car in Italy and it is completely original and unspoiled. The body has never been welded, the car has never been repainted and is still in the fine Amaranto paintwork with which it left the factory in July 1975. The original Giallo interior is also in very good condition and completes the impression of a real time pocket that does not there are many left of. The sense of originality is hard to improve, let alone surpass.
Behind the wheel, one is surprised at how quickly the Fulvia moves around in traffic. The 5-speed gearbox with “dog play” works razor-sharp, and the crisp engine is willing to turn and not completely without bottom drive. 90hp is actually both impressive in this machine, and enough to be able to drive the car quickly. After all, there are not that many kilos to move around on either. All in all, an extremely authentic classic car that will create lots of joy for its new owner.
