Presenting an exceptional example of the Lancia Fulvia HF, a car that redefined the limits of front-wheel-drive engineering and cemented Lancia’s legacy in the World Rally Championship. This is not just a classic Italian coupé; it is a precision-engineered "High Fidelity" machine built for the driver who values mechanical sophistication and competition pedigree.
The Heart: The Narrow-Angle 1568cc V4
Under the bonnet lies the masterpiece: the 818-series V4 engine. With its incredibly tight cylinder bank angle and overhead cams, this engine delivers a rev-happy, visceral soundtrack that is unmistakably Lancia.
Induction: Twin Solex carburetors, tuned for immediate throttle response.
Transmission: 5-speed "Dog-leg" gearbox, providing short, crisp shifts.
Lightweight Engineering & Handling:
The HF was the omologata special, stripped of excess to dominate the Monte Carlo Rally. This particular example retains the authentic HF spirit:
Suspension: Independent front wishbones with a transverse leaf spring—offering the legendary "point-and-shoot" handling that made the Fulvia a giant-killer on tight, winding roads.
Exterior: Finished in Blue Mendoza, it sits correctly on Cromadora alloy wheels.
Provenance & Maintenance:
This example has only 92, 895 original kilometres, is all matching Numbers, totally original and is in exceptional original preserved conditions - maintained expenses regardless, accident free, never restored, totally rust free. Furthermore it has a very good and well documented provenance. Also the car has recently benefitted from £3. 5k of mechanical maintenance.
This HF has been owned from a member of the Lancia Family: the second owner was Mr Luigi De Virgilio, son of famous M. Francesco De Virgilio. Francesco De Virgilio played a central role in Lancia history - he has been also the "father" of the V6 Aurelia engine. He entered in Lancia in 1939 as a young engineer and became a member of the Lancia Family when he married Rita Lancia in 1947, the niece of Vincenzo Lancia.
Briefly there was also ownership in 2021 by huge automotive enthusiast JK of Jamiroquai before the current owner.
The car has never been restored, is totally original, magnificently preserved. Two professional anti-corrosion treatments attending all hidden parts have been done. First in the '80s, second in 2010 when the car has been professionally repainted for the first time, the work has been done after having totally dismantled the car as it must be done. The car has been repainted in its original Blue Mendoza colour using the correct paint type - no water paint. All the interior parts - engine bay, doors, front and rear hoods, trunk - are in original paint.
All the rubber parts have also been changed when the car has been repainted.
Ultimately this Fulvia HF is totally rust free and the floor is the original one, never repaired, never touched.
The undercarriage, the archwheels are in perfect condition, the panels fitting and alignment are perfect, the doors, engine and rear hoods open and close perfectly. All the original chrome, front and rear bumpers are in great condition.
All the details are correct and all the lights, front and rear, are in perfect conditions.
Interior:
The interior is in mint condition totally original, untouched, perfectly preserved, really exceptional. Outstanding. The seats vinyl has no signs of wear. The dashboard, the wood parts are in mint condition, we can say as new. The steering wheel is the original one and in very good condition. The interior headliner is the original one and in very good condition. Also fitted with EZ power steering, 123 ignition and modern inertia seatbelts - this gives the extra sense of smooth driving with the benefit of modern safety.
Thought the car in no way shows it is 54 years old.
