We are delighted to present for sale this rebuilt Land Rover® Series 3 petrol, which is equipped with our Premium Interior Comfort Package (with a fitted value in excess of £5000).
Most people will be familiar with the factory layout of a Series 3 – no bells or whistles and some of the elements leave a little to be desired internally. The comfort package has been designed to alleviate these problems in a sympathetic way whilst giving the best possible driving experience….. so how is this achieved? Firstly, the driver and passenger seat are upgraded, new, Exmoor Trim High backs with headrests to give better support, and crash protection. These are used in tandem with a new seat belt bar to which is fitted the inertia reel 3 point seatbelts, doing away with troublesome ‘static’ belts. Between the upgraded seats sits a “Marshall” Cubby Box, complete with integrated Bluetooth Speaker (recharges during driving). Not only does this provide entertainment, but is a valuable support for your left arm whilst holding the steering wheel. Both front doors are also fitted with premium Exmoor Trim door cards which reduce noise, improve the look and provide a further arm rest with door pocket storage. A deluxe mat set is fitted to the footwells, along with further sound deadening to the bulkhead area. The rear has also been retrofitted with various upgrade items which include a new set of rear bench seats, equipped with 4 inertia reel lap belts giving a six seater belted capacity and the rear tub is also lined with an Exmoor Trim carpet set. A load mat protects the carpet from muddy boots or paws!
Externally, this Series 3 is finished in Deep Bronze Green with sand canvas, 750 tyres on limestone wheels, bonnet mounted spare, defender wing mirrors for increased visibility, rear mud flaps, rear grab handles and vintage plates for that period look. As one can see this is a smart looking soft top Series 3, in our opinion.
Out on the road, the combination of the sweet petrol engine and larger 750 tyres for more relaxed cruising make for a pleasing ride. Coupling this to our Premium Interior package, and this has surely to be one of the nicest driving soft top Land Rovers® we have had to date. With tax and MOT exemption, Galvanised Chassis for longevity and classic insurance this vintage soft top promises to be a great vehicle to own, run and pass onto the next generation.
